Hero Siege Quests - Questgivers and How Chains Work
How Hero Siege quests are organised: the main questgivers, which chains they run, and which quests overlap with difficulty unlocks worth doing anyway.
Hero Siege quests are organised around questgivers rather than a single quest log location, so knowing who gives what saves more time than knowing individual objectives.
Who are the main questgivers?
| Questgiver | Where | Runs |
|---|---|---|
| Ahriman | 1-1 Outskirts of Inoya | Early sidequests — Pest Control, Hunger Issue |
| Yogvan Beerdrinka | 1-0 Town of Inoya | Starts the Mysterious Key chain |
| Um | 5-0 Shujo Retreat | The Corrupted Statues / Garden Colossus chain |
| Örre | 4-0 Dhorn Farum | Seething Souls, Hurnir, and the Awesome Ring questline |
Örre is the one to remember. He appears in more chains than anyone else, and several of them are the longer, more rewarding ones.
Which quests should you do alongside progression?
The most efficient quests are the ones that overlap with something you are doing anyway:
- Book of Soulforge pages drop from Gurag, Reaper, Anubis, Damien, King Karp and Satan — exactly the six bosses that unlock Hell difficulty. Running the questline during your Hell push costs almost nothing extra.
- The Hurnir quest sends you to 3-5 Pyramid Level 2, the same zone where Anubis drops page 13. One trip, three purposes.
- Seething Souls collects Soul Essence and Souls anywhere, so it progresses during ordinary farming.
Which quests need planning?
Two have requirements that are awkward if you discover them late:
- The Mysterious Key needs 125 Copper Ore mined on Normal difficulty specifically. Do it before you move past Normal.
- The Awesome Ring needs 15 Essence of the Gods, which drops only from Act, Wormhole and Uber bosses on Hell. That stage cannot be started early.
What types of quest are there?
The game’s data separates Act Sidequests from campaign progression, and community quest trackers group further into categories including Campaign, Bifröst, Valhalla, Daily and Halloween — so seasonal and repeatable content sits alongside the permanent chains.
A caveat on quest tracking
The most complete community quest list carries its own warning: it is incomplete, and its questlines are grouped arbitrarily rather than in unlock order. Use it to find a specific objective, not to plan a sequence.
The individual routes preserve the detail this overview cannot: follow Pest Control, Seething Souls or the Mysterious Key chain for their exact steps. For the two ring paths, use the Book of Soulforge locations, the Soulforged Ring explanation and the Awesome Ring requirements.
Next step
Pick up Örre’s chains at Dhorn Farum before your Hell push — several of them complete themselves on the boss kills you need for the unlock regardless.
