Hero Siege Awesome Ring Quest - Drop Rates and Requirements
The Awesome Ring questline starts with a Mysterious Fragment at 5% from bosses, then 250 Rainbow Fragments and 15 Essence of the Gods on Hell.
This is a long questline with published drop rates, which makes it one of the few in Hero Siege you can actually plan around rather than grind blindly.
How does the Awesome Ring questline start?
By finding a Mysterious Fragment, which drops at 5% from any boss. Once you have it, Örre becomes the questgiver for everything that follows.
At 5% per boss, expect around twenty boss kills on average before it appears — and because it is a flat roll, there is no pity mechanic pushing it toward you.
What does the Awesome Ring quest require?
Three stages, each gated on a different drop:
| Stage | Requirement | Drop rate |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Mysterious Fragment from any boss | 5% |
| 2 | 250 Rainbow Fragments — called Braggite when dropped | 3% |
| 3 | 15 Essence of the Gods from Act, Wormhole and Uber bosses on Hell | 2.5% |
The naming inconsistency in stage 2 is worth flagging: the item drops as Braggite but the quest refers to Rainbow Fragments. They are the same thing, and the mismatch causes people to think they have not started collecting.
How long does this actually take?
Stage 2 is the long one. 250 items at a 3% drop rate implies on the order of 8,000 qualifying kills at average luck. That is not a session — it is a project you run in the background while doing other things.
Stage 3 is fewer items but harder gated: 15 Essence at 2.5% works out to roughly 600 boss kills, and those bosses must be Act, Wormhole or Uber bosses on Hell difficulty. You cannot farm this stage on a lower difficulty at all.
What should you do first?
Unlock Hell before you reach stage 3, or you will hit a hard wall. Since Hell requires killing six specific bosses anyway — and stage 1 wants boss kills for the Mysterious Fragment — the efficient order is:
- Push toward Hell, collecting boss kills that may roll the Mysterious Fragment.
- Farm Rainbow Fragments during normal play once Örre has set the task.
- Farm Essence on Hell, where you will already be by that point.
Are the drop rates exact?
Yes, and unusually so — the source states them as explicit random rolls:
random(0,999) < 50 for 5%, < 30 for 3%, and < 25 for 2.5%. That is a rare
level of precision for this game’s documentation, so these figures are more
reliable than most drop numbers you will find.
Next step
Do not start stage 3 before unlocking Hell — Essence of the Gods does not drop below it, and that is the one requirement that cannot be worked around.
