Where is the Rat Den?
It is the early-game area reached from the Outskirts of Inoya, and it is the zone experienced players use as a baseline for whether a build is functioning at all — the standing advice to a struggling new player is that no class is so bad it cannot farm Rat Den.
If you cannot clear Rat Den, the problem is the build rather than the zone, and that is worth knowing before you push further.
Who is Ahriman?
An early questgiver at 1-1 Outskirts of Inoya, with his own questline. Pest Control is the first of his quests; others in the same chain include Hunger Issue, a collection quest.
Ahriman is distinct from Örre at 4-0 Dhorn Farum, who runs the later chains including Seething Souls and the Awesome Ring.
Is Pest Control worth doing?
Yes, simply because it costs nothing. You are passing through the Rat Den during normal early progression, the target is in that zone, and the quest is a single kill. There is no farming step and no difficulty requirement.
