Hero Siege Zones and Maps - How the World Is Structured
How Hero Siege zones are organised: numbered acts, special zones like Ruby Garden and Chaos Tower, and why maps are randomly generated each session.
There is no single “Hero Siege map” to memorise, and that is by design: levels are randomly generated every session. What is fixed is the structure.
How are Hero Siege zones organised?
Two groups:
Numbered acts — World, Tutorial, then Acts 1 through 8, with Act 9 (Ebontharn) added in Season 10. Zones are referenced as act-zone pairs, so 1-5 is Act 1’s fifth zone and 8-5 is Helheim.
Special zones, which sit outside act progression:
- Bifröst
- Arch Demons Plateau
- Unstable Rift
- Sheeponia
- Mists of Chaos
- Challenge Dungeon
- Chaos Tower
- Ruby Garden
- Niflheim
- Asgard
- Angelic Realm
- Vanaheim
- Rift of Fortune
These are generally entered through keys, portals or events rather than by walking, and most are farming targets rather than story content.
Why does the map look different every time?
Because levels, items, dungeons, bosses, secrets and events are all randomly generated per session. The store description is explicit that every session you play is different.
The practical consequence: a map guide cannot show you a route. What it can show is which zone contains what — which bosses spawn where, which dungeons appear in which act, where a quest interactable lives.
What map mechanics can appear?
Random events that generate on almost any map as you load in. The Season 10 addition is the Abyssal Chest, marked by dark erosions in the ground leading to surrounding chests, with a Master Chest at the centre behind five locks.
Most map mechanics can be buffed by your Ether Tree. The Abyssal Chest specifically cannot, which is the documented exception.
Are community zone maps reliable?
Partially, and they say so themselves. The most detailed community zone overview carries its own warning — “Unfinished. No promises on accuracy” — and its dungeon pack data is labelled Season 9.
Use them for structure, not for exact numbers.
A note on searching for this
Search results for Hero Siege maps are polluted by “X Hero Siege”, an unrelated Warcraft III custom map that shares the name. If a result mentions Warcraft III or a version number like 3.45, it is a different game.
Apply that structure to the quest-chain overview, the Ruby Garden access route and the key-dungeon system. The Season 10 overview adds the Abyssal Chest, a current map mechanic whose rules sit on top of the same generated zones.
Next step
Learn which zone holds what rather than trying to learn layouts — the layouts change every session, and the contents do not.
