Hero Siege Patch Notes - Recent Changes That Matter

What recent Hero Siege patch notes changed: satanic zone drop buffs, controller improvements, companion pickups, and a false-positive ban fix.

Patch notes are where Hero Siege’s farming maths actually changes. The recent run has been unusually generous on drop rates, which is worth knowing before you decide where to spend your time.

What changed for farming?

The satanic zone buffs are the headline, and they stack with what was already there:

ChangeDetail
Magic findAll 3 satanic zone tier buffs increased by an additional 100% magic find
Rune drops25% → 35% on Inferno / Hell 5
Angelic drops20% → 28% on Inferno / Hell 5

The rune and angelic buffs apply specifically at Inferno / Hell 5, so they reward pushing difficulty rather than farming comfortably lower down. If you are weighing whether the next difficulty tier is worth it, that is a concrete argument for yes.

What changed for controller players?

Two quality-of-life additions that close long-standing gaps:

  • Inspect your buffs on a controller — open the context menu with the right shoulder button and navigate with the right thumbstick.
  • See crafting recipe details on a controller — press X / Square inside the crafting cube while hovering a recipe to show its ingredients and the crafted item, where one exists.

What else changed?

  • Companion collision mask increased for better item pickups — companions now collect more reliably.
  • Particle death animations added to monsters, described by the developer as “juice”. Cosmetic, not mechanical.
  • A rare false-positive ban was fixed, and everyone affected was unbanned.

That last one matters if you were banned and believed it was in error: the developer has confirmed a false-positive class of ban existed and reversed it.

Where do you find the full patch notes?

Panic Art Studios publishes them through Steam news for the game, and posts final season patch notes at each season’s release rather than in advance. During open beta, changes are testable before those notes land.

A caveat on this page

Patch notes are the fastest-moving content on any wiki. The changes above are drawn from the recent Season 10 cycle and are accurate as of this page’s date — but a patch shipped after it will not be reflected here. Check Steam news for the current list before relying on a specific number.

The Season 10 overview supplies the launch context behind these changes. For their practical effects, compare the Ether Tree farming limits, the community price-check process and the difficulty route into Hell.

Next step

If the satanic zone buffs apply to where you farm, the drop-rate maths has moved in your favour — and the Inferno / Hell 5 rune and angelic buffs are a reason to push difficulty rather than stay comfortable.
