Stormweaver is a paid DLC class built around rapid-firing lightning spells, and it has one property that separates it from most of the roster: it can use all weapons, not a single damage category. That widens what counts as an upgrade considerably.

What is Stormweaver’s playstyle?

Fast and mobile. Its Steam listing describes a high-voltage, fast-paced caster centred on rapid lightning spells dealing area damage, and names the players it suits:

  • Those who enjoy fast-paced spell-caster gameplay focused on lightning skills.
  • Those who like mobility, heavy projectile interaction and clear speed.

It is DLC and requires the base game. If you intend to buy more than one class, the Hero Siege Complete bundle covers all of them.

What skills does Stormweaver have?

Seventeen skills across the class, with unlock levels and prerequisites from the official wiki:

Storm Bolt1
Pulsing Charge8Charged Bolts
High Voltage Aura8
Loaded Pulse8

Static Shock24
Storm Cloud24
Hyper Charged24
Apocalyptic Thunder24Loaded Pulse, Storm Bolt
Symphony of Thunder30
Aftershock30Apocalyptic Thunder, Loaded Pulse, Storm Bolt

Four skills are available immediately at level 1, so the class is playable from the first character screen without waiting on a key unlock.

Which Stormweaver skills gate the others?

Only four have prerequisites, and they cluster into one chain worth planning around:

  • Loaded Pulse (8) and Storm Bolt (1) both feed Apocalyptic Thunder (24), which in turn feeds Aftershock (30).
  • Charged Bolts (1) feeds Pulsing Charge (8).
  • Chain Lightning (16) requires Lightning Surge.

If you intend to end on Aftershock, keep Loaded Pulse and Storm Bolt invested rather than respeccing out of them at level 20.

Is Stormweaver good in Season 10?

Its archetypes land mid-table. On the Season 10 list, Charged Bolt sits at B for endgame, and Lightning Surge at D — both below the S-tier Lightning Fury that leads the list. Stormweaver is not the strongest lightning option this season by that ranking.

Two caveats. That tier list ranks build archetypes rather than classes, so a Stormweaver running a different setup is not covered by those entries. And most detailed Stormweaver build content in circulation is Season 9 material — treat specific numbers from it as needing in-game confirmation.

The reviewed source set contains a Storm Cloud speed build, a Lightning Surge setup and a low-life Lightning Surge variant. All three are historical Season 9 snapshots, so compare their mechanics with the Season 10 tier list rather than assuming their old numbers remain current.

Next step

If you own the DLC and want lightning, compare the Charged Bolts and Storm Bolt branches before level 8, since that is where the two prerequisite chains split.
